Diversity is Not A Trend

Diversity is Not A Trend

Trends are a popular subject in the events industry. However, diversity is not a trend that gets discussed and encouraged with no results. In this episode, host Reyna Caraveo and Guest Meghan Bates discuss the caution that comes with trends and buzzwords, the break down of diversity, equity and inclusion, and continued efforts for event professionals.

In this episode we discuss:

  1. The popularity of “trends” within the events and entertainment industries and why event professionals need to be cautious about approaching certain topics that may come across as another trend.
  2. Initiatives that get discussed and encouraged with no actionable results and ultimately end up being utilized as buzzwords.
  3. How the events and meeting industries can ensure diversity, equity, and inclusion are a part of their continued efforts.

About Our Guest:

Meghan has worked across multiple disciplines in events, advertising, B2B/B2C tech marketing and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) consulting.
