How Event Planning Relates to Storytelling

Have you ever thought about how event planning relates to storytelling? Maybe you love both things separately and haven’t figured out how to weave both passions into one just yet. In this episode, host Reyna Caraveo shares how to incorporate storytelling into your events from start to finish.

Most of the time, a live event or party is meant to evoke an experience for guests or attendees. The best way to achieve this goal is to create a story behind it!

In this episode you’ll learn:

  • Why telling a story is ultimately a production
  • How to turn the purpose behind the events into a story that attendees can experience
  • Why event planning can be another outlet for storytelling
  • The different elements you can use to tell a story

Being behind the scenes you know there is a story to tell. While most people may only think of photographers and videographers when it comes to the event industry’s storytellers, truthfully there is a way to tell a story no matter what role you play.

Not only do event planners work hard to design and manage a full-scale live event, but they have the opportunity to lean heavily into the creative aspect of storytelling in a way that most people don’t think about when it comes to the events industry.
