The EVENT UMBRELLA is a podcast focused on the event industry and creative business. Join host Reyna Caraveo, Creative Director and CEO , as she breaks down various topics and discussions by event industry professionals to give you a better understanding of what goes on behind the scenes in event production and planning. Whether you are an event professional, creative, or someone who likes to party, these conversations are relatable and entertaining!
As an event professional of almost 8 years now, I am going to be talking about the things people are not talking about in the events industry, because it’s important that these conversations are addressed.
I started young hosting and planning parties in high school, but going into my professional career during college, I was really involved with several student organizations including the long running campus radio station. My academic background is in Mass Communications – Electronic Media. In a nutshell, that means I studied everything in school from journalism, to PR, advertising, and digital media, but primarily radio, TV and film.
I started working with the radio promotions team doing pop-up events and micro-festivals, and then moving into community-based events with a campus department until graduation where I came on full-time at the university coordinating events. Through that time, I planned and managed a range of diverse events for various audiences, and back in 2017 decided to launch my own Event Management company for corporate and social events. So here we are!
The goal of this podcast is to give the general public more knowledge about the event industry through educational and business-related conversations. We’ll be talking about client/vendor relationships, personal and professional experiences and different point of views from planner to vendor to attendee. I will have expert event and business professionals on the show as guests as we talk through the most important internal industry conversations and break down these barriers to bring light to some of the topics listeners may not be aware of!
