How to be Prepared for Anything

February 19, 2020

Are you prepared for the unexpected? Host Reyna Caraveo discusses how to be prepared for anything as an event professional, pre-event, on-site, and post-event. Last week on The Event Umbrella we shared on what’s really in your event emergency kit. (Listen to it here) In this episode, we’re taking it a step further as to why you may need those items.

You know that feeling when you’ve planned everything out to perfection? Months have been dedicated to checking off any and every box to ensure that this event is executed in Beyoncé style #flawless.

It’s the day you’ve worked so hard for, and something completely out of your control throws everything for a loop. Maybe it’s people, weather, or technology. What are you going to do? Do you have a backup plan?

Reyna shares her best strategy for expecting the unexpected, staying on your toes, and not getting too comfortable. While it can be easy to stress yourself into an anxiety attack by thinking about all the things that could possibly go wrong, Reyna shares how to be prepared while still getting to fully celebrate all the hard work you’ve put into the event.

Let’s continue the conversation over on Instagram!

One of the things that can help you stay ahead of the game in being prepared for anything is learning to keep your options open by saying no. Is saying no a struggle? Listen here.
